Shoppers are rushing to buy slow cooker scanning at till for just £4.99 instead of £30 from bargain supermarket
SHOPPERS are rushing to buy a £4.99 kitchen essential that could help you lower your energy bills.
Slow cookers have become popular among households looking to cut costs in the kitchen.
Bargain supermarket Farmfoods is now selling a Daewoo 3.5l slow cooker for just £4.99.
This is the cheapest price we could find for this exact model by far.
The deal was spotted by a bargain hunter who shared it on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
Farmfoods was already selling the model for a bargain price of £10 in May - but it has since slashed the price another 50%.
MORE ON MONEY
Dunelm currently sells the slow cooker for £30, while it sells on Amazon for £31.89 - meaning you could save up to £27 by picking one up at Farmfoods instead.

How much do slow cookers cost to run?
Slow cookers can be a great investment as they are easy to use and can be left alone to run.
They're also very energy-efficient and can cut down your bills.
Daewoo claims its slow cookers could save you up to 87.5% compared to cooking with a conventional oven.
To work out the cost of making your meal, you'll need to do this equation: cost = power (kilowatt) x cost of one kWh (pence) x the length of time (just the one off meal, or over a week or month.)
For example, the Daewoo slow cooker would cost around 38p to run for eight hours.
Make sure you don't leave your slow cooker running longer than necessary to maximise your savings.
Put it onto the lowest heat setting if you're going out as it will use less energy while cooking over a longer period of time.
