Wetherspoons are giving out golden straws worth a whopping £5,000… here’s how to win one
WETHERSPOONS are now giving out straws worth a whopping £5,000 - and here's how you can nab one.
The popular boozer's new promotional campaign with Au Vodka will see punters get the chance to win an incredible cash prize.
All punters will have to do to for a chance to win big is purchase an Au Vodka Candy Rosá pitcher - but there's a twist.
Posting to the Au Vodka Instagram page, DJ and co-owner Charlie Sloth told viewers: "For your chance to win £5,000 this summer just go to a Wetherspoons pub and buy Au Vodka Candy Rosá.
"If you find the golden straw you win £5,000 and me personally delivering it to you."
The boozy brand also revealed that winners will be chosen by Au Vodka who will select random pitchers at three Wetherspoon spots, on three dates and at three different times.

And if your pitcher is chosen and you find a golden straw poking out of your beverage, you'll be on your way to getting £5,000 hand delivered by Sloth himself.
Au fans were quick to flood the Instagram post with hilarious comments to the brands generous offer.
One wrote: "Ffs, as if I needed an easy excuse to go".
Another said: "Could've done with this last weekend I had four of them beauties to myself".

A third commented: "Money money money".
While one more hopeful punter added: "I live by about seven Wetherspoons, we need clues".
Au Vodka has not stated when the promotional deal will end on their social media channels.
This comes after one Weatherspoons super-fan broke the record for visiting the most Wetherspoon pubs earlier this month, having a pint in 1,048 - 222 more than currently exist.
David Newbury, 54, had been hopping around the boozers for almost half his life, having visited his first in 1999.
David, of Exeter, told The Sun: “I suppose it is obsessive behaviour but no more than people who visit every football ground in the country.
“When I was with my late-missus Lesley we took it very seriously. She’d be happy to see me carry on.”
And Wetherspoon fans were left gushing in March over a promotional deal that let them tuck into a small English breakfast for just £1.99.
