TINY houses are on sale on eBay for as little as £2,000 - and that's not even the best part.

As the housing crisis bites, Brits are seemingly turning to ultra-compact, and even mobile, living arrangements to cut costs.

One budget home, advertised online as a "tiny house", garden room or office is available for just £2,275, around 0.7% of the average price of a flat in the .

And best of all, the miniature accommodation is on wheels and is equipped with a tow coupling, meaning the new owner can drive it anywhere they wish to set up.

Photos of the building show it to be a little large than a garden shed.

However, despite its size it manages to fit in a small living area, bed space, kitchen counter and even a bathroom.

There is a two-burner gas hob and Belfast sink and a number of cupboards.

All the windows are double glazed, while the two skylights are triple glazed, with one above the bed so buyers can look up at the night sky.

The ad states: "For sale is this beautiful tiny home perfect for a campsite or a garden to be used for extra room Or to Airbnb.

"The tiny home is built on a 19ft Ifor Williams triple axel trailer. Ifor Williams is probably the best trailer maker in the UK.

"All the brakes have been serviced with new pads all round."

The seller added that there is currently no toilet installed as they are considering whether to use a compost loo or mains drainage, but all other amenities are included.

It is also fully wired and there is a hookup point on the outside where it can plug into the electrical grid.

Other similar homes are on sale for as little as £6,999 and even the more expensive end at around £60,000 is still about a fifth of what you would pay for a standard flat.

It comes after one woman revealed how she built her tiny house in just a week and now lives off just £160 a month.
