Posted to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one savvy shopper noticed the Four Person Black Square Spa was significantly down in price.

It's a 780ml four-person tub with 110 air jets and an insulated top cover and floor protector which come with it.

It also reaches temperatures as high as 42C.

They wrote: "Just to say the bargain they had on ace hot tub £89 is true today I received my order".

And fans in the comments were getting excited, with one writing: "Mine arrived yesterday... now just need to get the garden done up".

And others simply replied to say they "got one" or to ask whether the deal was still on.

Now, however, the price has corrected itself to £279 from £399 - a 30% discount.

The 78% discount was placed temporarily to mark Studio's Deal of The Day - an item which is significantly down in price for 24 hours only.

The brand also hosts weekly deals, all of which you can find on the website when you click on the clearance and deals section.

But don't get too carried away - there are still delivery costs to keep in mind.

Studio charges £4.99 for standard delivery, but this could go up if you're ordering a large item or if you'd like it faster.

And it's important not to buy something just because it's on sale - only get it if you wanted it to begin with.

Remember to shop around anyway - you might find a cheaper deal to splash the cash on.

You can use comparison sites like Google Shopping or the Latest Deals website to have a look at who sells what for how much.

When we checked, Aldi is selling a cheap hot tub for £199 right now which is the cheapest we've seen.

The tub has 135 bubble jets, heated air bubbles and two headrests, as well as a lockable cover in case the weather turns.

It was also more expensive last year when it cost £399.99.

We've also spotted inflatable tubs for £140 off Amazon and £325 from B&Q.

Warnings to keep in mind

There have recently been warnings about sky-high running costs of hot tubs which you might not know about.

Basically, if you get a hot tub for under £100, it might cost up to £1,440 just to use it.

That's over ten times the purchase cost over summer.

We recommend checking how efficient your model is before buying it - if it's inflatable, it might be inefficient, and sometimes it's better to opt for more expensive models if you want to save in the long run.

Keep a watchful eye on your thermostat too - turning it down a few notches could also end up saving you money.

Most people like to keep their tubs between 38 and 40 degrees, but every degree lower will save you around 10% of your total cost.
