A LOTTERY jackpot-winning builder is pining for his old life on the tools, pals say.

Steve Thomson, who scooped £105million in 2019, spends most days at home, with family or taking his dog for a walk.

But the EuroMillions winner misses the banter on the building site, friends believe.

One said of Steve: “Steve obviously feels really lucky to be in the position he’s in.

"But nothing could’ve prepared him for the change in his life after he won the EuroMillions.

“He’s a very modest, humble bloke and loved his life as a builder.

“Steve misses the job and all that comes with it, like the great lads he worked with and the brilliant banter they had together on site.”

After winning the lottery, thoughtful Steve completed outstanding orders for customers of his windows and conservatories business in Selsey, West Sussex.

He also gave £50,000 to the school two of his sons attended, £50,000 to a medical centre and £100,000 to his beloved cricket club.

Steve and wife Lenka, 44, lived in a £150,000 three-bed terraced house with their three children when they won.

They stayed there for a year before moving to a sprawling £4.5million estate in Kent.

When he bought his new six-bedroom home, set in 14.5 acres with a swimming pool and tennis court, Steve said: “The kids have finally got their own bedrooms.”
