A JOB you have probably never heard off pays £45,000 - but there's a pretty horrific catch.
City maintenance workers patrol London's Victorian sewer system to clear any backlogs.
While the job may sound grim, it can earn those willing up to £45k, reports.
Sewage flusher Nick Fox told the the job's not as bad as people might think.
He said: "The smell is more like earthy compost.
"It's like being stood in a slightly brown stream, and not much higher than your ankles."

Workers sent down to the sewers are tasked with clearing build ups known as Fatbergs.
Baby wipes, oil, grease and other drain blockers accumulate in the sewage system and become enormous.
Nick said he and his 11-man team work nine-hour shifts, including nights to tackle busy areas like Westminster.
He described the role as "looking after one of the crown jewels of Victorian engineering".

The systems date back nearly 150 years.
It comes as it's revealed window cleaners responsible for making sure London's The Gherkin is sparkling earn up to £50,000.
And an even weirder job was offered by a university in California, who needed someone to eat avocados.
They were inundated with applications and 250 people managed to snag a place on the three-month trial.
