YES, it’s egg-pensive, but this is the one to get you truly tipsy, with a proper 20cl tipple inside.
There’s lots for your money too, with tasty mottled milk choc, a dark and white luxury shell, three prosecco-laced truffles, mini eggs, a box of macarons and you get a bottle of Prosecco into the bargain. Hic!

BAILEYS EGG
Baileys Easter Egg 260g, £8

LOVE Irish cream? Then you can’t go wrong with this tasty treat.
With a generously sized egg, yummy milk chocolate and that classic Bailey’s flavour, this one is great value.
While the casing might not contain booze, the adult-only truffles deliver, with two per cent ABV Bailey’s centres.

GUINNESS EGG
Guinness Easter Egg 215g, £12.99,
THE Irish stout wouldn’t be my drink of choice so it was no surprise that this wasn’t my favourite egg!
The dark choc shell was infused with the same bitter Barley taste you’d expect in a pint, and include a six per cent measure of the bevvie.
It comes with Guinness shaped chocolates. Pricey but would be a good gift.

CHAMPAGNE EGG
Extra Thick Champagne Egg 395g, £30
A ROLLS-ROYCE of eggs, this is an indulgent, Champagne-themed delight.
Beautiful to look at, with a lavish, uber-thick milk chocolate shell, half choc and half strawberries and cream, it tastes divine.
With truffles oozing bubbly inside, this is one delicious egg.
Time to spoil someone rotten.

BAILEYS STRAWBERRIES & CREAM
Baileys Strawberries and Cream Egg 205g, £8 B&M
THIS white choccie egg comes with four heart-shaped, milk choc liqueurs infused with the tipple itself.
The packaging is deceptive, as despite the big box, the egg is quite small, so it’s not the best value for money.
But there’s still plenty to like and it isn’t too sickly.

DAVENPORT’S HEPPLE GIN
Davenport’s Hepple Gin Easter Egg, £14 225g
A LOVELY, artisan-style, gin-themed egg which, considering its top notch quality, is extremely good value compared to others.
Outstanding chocolate, proper adult booze punch and decadent, but to my disappointment it’s such a shame it arrived broken.

PINK GIN DELUXE MARBLE
Pink Gin Deluxe Marble Egg Lidl, in store, 200g £6.99
WITH delicate, raspberry ripple-style swirls set in a white chocolate egg-shaped casing, this is as pretty as a picture.
There’s a good chunky snap when you do tuck in but no actual alcohol in this egg, so it won’t get you drunk, just pink gin flavouring.
A bit more juniper taste would have been nice.

TIRAMISU EGG
Tiramisu Egg, £6
THIS classic Italian pud usually contains a decent hit of Marsala wine and coffee, sponge and chocolate, but you will struggle to find it in this particular offering.

The stylish egg, which is decorated with cocoa nibs, has a nice enough coffee flavour, but it’s bland, and would be improved by a glass of the good stuff on the side.
