As the doors opened at the store in Maidstone, Kent, customers scrambled inside.

However, they were quickly faced with empty shelves.

The stand dedicated to the hydration drink had a sign on it which read: "We are awaiting stock of these products.

"We apologise for any inconvenience."

Sainsbury's is the latest chain to sell KSI and Logan Paul's product.

It was confirmed this month they will sell five 500ml flavours, including a limited edition Mango and Orange variety for £2.50.

The others are Lemon Lime, Blue Raspberry, Tropical Punch and Ice Pop and will cost £2.

Sainsbury's spokesperson said at the time: "We know our customers actively seek the latest in product innovation.

"We are excited to be launching the following Prime Hydration products in store from Tuesday, February 21."

The hit drink, which took the US by storm, first appeared in Aldi and Asda in 2022.

Shoppers raced to Aldi at the end of last year to try and get their hands on the £1.99 beverage.

Despite originally saying they wouldn't be stocking Prime, Morrisons has now jumped on the bandwagon and said it will be in the future.

This isn't the first time shoppers have queued for the drink.

And some desperate parents have even travelled more than 500 miles just to get their hands on a bottle.

Internet sensation KSI said if the drink is selling for anything above the price of £2, it isn't a decision made by Prime - but the shops selling it.

It comes after one store had marked the drink for nearly £10 a bottle.

It's even been flogged for upwards of £50,000 on eBay.

The drink's popularity grew after YouTube stars Logan Paul and KSI promoted the drink around high-profile celebrity boxing bouts in the UK.
