The original flavours have also made a return, including strawberry, lemon, orange and lime.

The main difference between the two products is that Starburst includes a combined lemon and lime sweet, plus a blackcurrant chew.

B&M took to Twitter to share a photo of the tasty treats to spread the news that the sweets are now available in store.

The tweet said: "We have opal fruits if anyone is interested."

Fans quickly responded to the post to share their excitement.

One excited shopper said: "Made to make your mouth water, according to the advert I remember years ago."

Another added: "I'll be in for some. Can't beat the yellow and the green.

"Never buy Starburst but won't pass these without buying some. Thanks B&M."

And a third wrote: "That's me going to stock up tomorrow."

The tweet has received more than 1,400 likes and almost one hundred comments.

Shoppers can grab a pack of the nostalgic treats for just £1.

They've been reintroduced to British shores several times since then, with the last time being in 2020 for a limited run.

They were available at PoundlandB&MHome Bargains, Iceland, Savers and The Range.

B&M is known for stocking unusual flavours of sweets and chocolate.

The retailer has previously sold Mint Cookie Fudge, Gold Krisp, Gooey Caramel and Gold KitKats, as well as a Milkybar Whirl which couldn't be bought anywhere else.
