Shoppers rush to Dunelm to buy ‘great value’ heating appliance that costs 68p to run
DUNELM shoppers are rushing to buy a heating gadget that only costs 68p an hour to run.
Using an alternative appliance for warmth can normally save a lot on your overall energy bill.
Dunelm fans have spotted a nifty little fan heater on its website priced at £14.
And it claims to only cost 68p an hour to run.
Fans were excited, with one writing in the reviews: "Good little powerful heater. Good value for money."
Another praised: "Impressive little heater that warms up the room in a short time."

And one more shared: "It's pretty portable and powerful... loved it! Heat up the room within 15-20 mins."
Of course, how much it costs to run depends on how much energy your normally use and who you're with.
And how long it takes to warm up a room depends on the size of your home.
It also depends on the model - the Dunelm heater uses 2000W.

The hourly running cost of is calculated under the current price cap of 34p per kWh rates.
So for a 2000W heater, you'd do:
2000/1000 = 2, then 2 x 0.34 = 0.68
So if it was a 500W fan heater, for example, it would instead cost 17p to run each hour using that equation.
You should keep an eye in January though - some bills may be increasing and it could affect you, depending on your supplier and your tariff.
You should also take into account delivery costs if you decide to order a heater.
It'll at least set you back a further £3.95 if you order from Dunelm.
Alternatively, you can find your nearest store on its website - but perhaps call up first to make sure it's in stock.
And you should always shop around first to make sure you get the best deals - you never know what you might miss.
