It’s a chance to reflect on what makes a healthy workplace and the small changes you can bring to your firm. 

Wellbeing doesn’t have to mean pricey spa treatments or expensive fitness apps.

A good wellbeing policy will improve productivity, staff morale and decrease work-related stress. 

Here are five easy wellbeing fixes to make your workplace a calmer and more positive place to be. 

1. Eat Well

Encourage your works canteen to offer healthy choices.

Try a meat free Monday or regular vegan option, so more people are introduced to eating well at work. 

2. Stand for attention

Standing desks can help alleviate back pain while exercise balls instead of seats build core muscle strength.

You don’t need to use them all the time but see if your firm will offer them for staff to try.

3. The Flex Effect

All employees have a life outside of work, sometimes that can be unpredictable.

Offering staff flexible hours or the right to WFH eases stress and builds company loyalty. 

4. Coach to Care

Coaching is a powerful tool to help staff to problem solve, destress and unlock their potential.

Done right, it can benefit the whole organisation too. See if your company can offer coaching as part of its HR and Development policy.

5. Cash is King

Financial wellbeing has never been more important, so see if your company can provide a profit share scheme for all employees, not just those in bonus-related jobs such as sales.

It builds staff camaraderie and promotes teamwork, as well as helping employees feel valued and appreciated.

You’ll Need: An MS or above degree in computer science or related fields, with five years of in-depth experience in machine learning, and ideally two years of experience in machine learning fairness or related areas.
