Inside quaint three-bedroom family home that could be yours for £175k – but there’s a bizarre design fault

This Birmingham home is on sale for £175,000

A CHARMING three-bedroom home could be snapped up for a very reasonable £175,000 – but it has a very odd design feature.

The semi-detached property has lots going for it, including a spacious lounge with a bay window and a kitchen with a beamed ceiling.

There is a modern looking bathroom with a rainfall shower as well as a large back garden complete with a veranda.

The family home has a large, master bedroom and a box room.

But it is the other bedroom has set prospective buyers’ tongues wagging because of one unusual feature.

Up one end is a single bed, bedside table plus a desk and up the other end is a colourful storage unit.

But in the middle of the room is a tiled shower cubicle.

It has a clear screen around it and a mat on the floor.

The property in Birmingham is being sold by Gordon Jones estate agents and advertised on Rightmove.

But one househunter was left baffled by it.

They said: “Just seen this on Rightmove.

“Why have an en-suite when you can have a shower in the middle of your bedroom?”

The description for the odd bedroom reads: “Double glazed window to rear aspect.

“Central heating radiator.

“Shower cubicle with electric shower.”

The key features of the property are listed as “Three bed semi-detached, lounge, kitchen, veranda, front and rear gardens.

“Driveway, central heating, partial double glazing, freehold.”

Earlier this month a terraced property in Wales went on the market for just £25,000 – an apparent bargain until prospective buyers looked inside.

Despite its bargain price tag, the home's dirty and dingy interior with a jungle in the back garden may put off some house hunters.

It was described as having “bags of potential” for a reason – it was in need of a complete renovation inside and out.
