“Now 150,000ish. Glad I’m paying for the privilege of Delivery Saver.”

A Tesco spokesperson said the problems had since been resolved.

They said: “Online Christmas slots are now available for Delivery Saver customers on our website and Groceries app after some customers temporarily had difficulty logging on or placing orders this morning.

“We’re really sorry about that and it has now been resolved with slots available for both Home Delivery and Click+Collect over the Christmas period.”

They added there was good availability across Click and Collect slots.

Delivery Saver is a paid-for service that offers customers priority access to Tesco deliveries.

Customers paying for the Delivery Saver – Anytime Click and Collect plan can get Click and Collect slots from today, November 15.

Meanwhile, all other customers not paying for a Delivery Saver subscription will have to wait until November 22 for Click and Collect and delivery slots.
