Dubbed 'Marks and Sparkle', customers have been rushing to stores to get their hands on the £10 bubbly.

But the sparkling wine isn't just your usual fruity tipple as each bottle is filled with edible 22-carat gold glitter.

The fizz contains crisp citrusy notes with a hint of pear and melon.

The bubbly went on sale in stores and online earlier this week and according to M&S.

And M&S fans are loving it after the supermarket said that shoppers are snapping up a bottle every 30 seconds across its 1,000 stores.

One shopper on Instagram said: "I bought one for my son's teacher's birthday present and for £10 it looks beautiful."

"I want this now," said another customer.

Another shopper said: "We need to get some of this."

One customer said: "That will look gorgeous on the Christmas table!"

But it's not the first gold glitter-infused drink that M&S has treated customers to.

Last month, the supermarket brought back its seasonal snow globe gins.

The popular bottles of M&S gin liqueur feature flecks of gold glitter and they also light up.

There are two flavours this year - clementine and spiced sugar plum.

And in previous years the drinks have been a sell-out and M&S even slapped them with a buying limit because of the huge demand.

And the price of a bottle of snow globe gin has gone down this year.

Customers can pick up the tipple for just £16 - that's £4 less than last Christmas when it would have set you back £20.

But Aldi's sells similar dupes for £13.99 - a whole £2 cheaper than the M&S snow globe liqueurs.

This year Aldi has revealed three new bottle designs, two of which light up, each with a flurry of 23-carat gold flakes.

The Infusionist Gold Flake light-up gin liqueurs were released in stores on Monday, November 7.

The discount supermarket offers three flavours - morello cherry, clementine and blackcurrant and blackberry.

M&S Customers not interested in the gold glitter-filled drinks can pick up other popular festive drinks for as little as a fiver.

M&S is selling Pomegranate and Blood Orange bucks fizz, Clementine and Cranberry bucks fizz and a bottle of Sloe Gin fizz for £5 per bottle.

Helena Fleming, lead product developer for festive fizz at M&S, said: "It’s no secret that M&S is officially the home of the best glittery drinks out there, and off the back of our super popular snow globe gins we knew we had to raise the bar with the most Instagrammable bottle of sparkly fizz.

"At just £10, our great-value Marks & Sparkle is perfect as grown-up stocking filler, a secret santa present or just for getting the party started. If you drink one fizz this season, make sure it’s this showstopper!"
