Quality Street adds new flavour to some tubs – but choc fans are all saying the same thing
QUALITY Street has brought back a much-loved chocolate but fans are still holding out hope for their favourite to return.
After more than 20 years, the Coffee Creme is still on chocolate lovers' minds and they won't rest until it's back in their tubs.
It comes as the Honeycomb Crunch has been brought back to tubs in certain stores after it was axed in 2018.
For those of you that remember, the Coffee Creme was a dark chocolate containing coffee fondant.
It came in a brown wrapper and resembled the look of the Strawberry Delight.
Quality Street posted the Honeycomb Crunch news to its Facebook page and while some were happy, many were not.

The comments were filled with people demanding the return of the coffee flavoured choc which was popular in the 90s.
One fan wrote: "I miss the coffee ones."
Another said: "Every year I type the same thing ….bring back COFFEE FONDANT."
One woman said: "I’m not buying any until you bring back the coffee cream."

It's not the first time fans of the chocolate have let their feelings be known.
Over 12 years ago a Facebook group called BRING BACK COFFEE CREAMS IN QUALITY STREETS was created and has over 400 followers.
And last year, Nestle asked the public which retro choc they would want to come back if given the choice.
Voters could choose between the Vanilla Octagon, the Almond Octagon, the Fruits of the Forest Creme, the Jaffa Toffee or the Coffee Creme.
In December 2021, the brand revealed the winner and it was overwhelmingly the Coffee Creme with 8,146 votes.
Nestle said it receives more enquiries about the sweet than any other discontinued Quality Street.
The Almond Octagon came second with 5,312 votes, followed by Fruits of the Forest Creme with 2,623.
Emily Grimbley, assistant brand manager for Quality Street said at the time: "Many Quality Street fans have an old favourite, and our survey has shown that when it comes to our sweets, absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
"Although the Coffee Creme hasn't featured in the mix since the turn of the millennium, it’s clear that it still holds a special place in the nation’s heart."
Despite the obvious affinity for the chocolate, Nestle made no guarantee that whichever came first would be brought back.
It said it “will seriously consider” bringing back the winning sweet as soon as this year but the Coffee Creme has clearly missed the boat for 2022.
The Sun has asked the brand if there any plans in the works to bring it back and will let you know as soon as we know.
