Argos is selling the Instant Vortex ClearCook air fryer for £200, and fans are loving it.

In the reviews section of the website, one customer wrote: "By far the best air fryer.

"Far superior to the Ninja. I have not used my oven once since purchasing this item."

Another gushed: "I bought this a couple of weeks back. I can honestly say that we’ve used it every day since. Very easy use and great results."

And another said: "Really good because you can even use frozen food in it, and it cooks in minutes.

"Food comes out perfectly, not hard or over done, still moist inside. Sausages, pizzas and fish in minutes."

The £200 Argos gadget compares to Ninja's Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, which is on sale for £379 on the SantSolu website.

However, Argos is also selling the same Ninja Foodi MAX air fryer on its website for £230 - so only £30 more expensive that the fan-favourite model.

The Argos Vortex fryer and Ninja Foodi max are similar versions - they're both dual fryers, which means they both have two baskets instead of one.

Both models can have the baskets synced so that all the food finishes at the same time.

Argos also has the Ninja 7.6L Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer and Dehydrator on sale for £200.

Shoppers are also raving about the latter, with one writing: "I bought this a few weeks ago and its the best thing since sliced bread. Cheaper to run than electric oven and some things cook quicker."

And another said: "Very pleased with the product should have bought it much sooner."

Remember, if you're buying any of these, you'll need to factor delivery costs on top of the purchase price.

This could vary depending on how far away you live or how big the purchase is.

You can also search "Argos store locator" to find where your nearest branch is.

It always pays to shop around to find the cheapest price so you know you're getting the best deal.

The Range is selling a Kitchen Master air fryer for £59.99, for example.

It's a bit different from the Argos and Ninja models because this one only has one basket.

We also covered the Tower air fryer sold by the bargain retailer here - which costs just 13p to run.

It also costs £59.99 to buy.

How much does it cost to run an air fryer?

You can buy a new air fryer pretty cheap if you know where to look, so the purchase shouldn't break the bank - you'll just want to know whether it adds to your energy bill.

The answer won't be the same for everyone, as what you pay for electricity will depend on your tariff and also how large and efficient your appliance is.

As with any appliance, a newer model is likely to be more efficient, and be cheaper to run than an older version.

But, on average, if you used a 900-watt air fryer for 20 minutes, it would cost about 10p per meal.

So if you used it five days a week per year, it would cost a total of £26.52.
