Unilever - which makes Pot Noodles - first launched the festive flavour, called Pot Noeldle at the time, back in 2010.

Shoppers have posted online that they haven't seen the flavour since - until now.

Fans posted to the Newfoodsuk Facebook group that the festive snack has made a comeback in Asda stores and is now called Pot Noel.

One fan said: "Had it in 2010, been looking out for it every year since".

Another raved about the snack and said: "They did the Christmas Dinner one years ago and it was lovely".

One shopper joked that they would ditch the turkey this year and said: "That's Christmas Dinner done this year! Cheap and cheerful".

But not all shoppers were sold on the idea.

One said: "Christmas dinner flavour, nae sure aboot that!", while another posted: "I won’t lie I think this is a no from me".

Some were on the fence, with one shopper posting: "I have mixed feelings about this one".

A 100g pot will cost you £1.20 - and it's more expensive compared to when it was first launched 12 years ago.

It was priced at £1.10 back then, according to reports - but now Asda is selling it for £1.20, which is 10p more expensive.

It's more expensive than a lot of other Pot Noodle flavours being sold at Asda too.

A 90g tub of Original Curry flavour Pot Noodles costs £1, and so do 90g tubs of Chicken & Mushroom.

The Sun couldn't spot this festive flavoured pot noodle being sold anywhere other than Asda - but we've asked Unilever for more information and will update you as soon as we know more.

It's not the only controversial Pot Noodle flavour that has made a comeback this year.

It brought back its Abra Kebabra Doner Kebab flavour in July for £1 - but it was met with mixed reviews.

It's not the only new Christmas-themed grub shoppers can get this year.

Morrisons has revealed its Christmas menu this year, and it includes a Rudi the Reindeer cake.
