Furious BT Sport customers overcharged after payment error – check if you’re affected
ANGRY BT Sport customers have been overcharged on their accounts - some up to five times the normal amount.
Customers started complaining about payment issues today saying they had overpaid on BT Sport monthly passes.
One customer complained they had been charged five times the amount they should have.
They said: "BT you seriously have the cheek to overcharge people by 5x and say you can't give the money back for two to three days.
"You took £100 of my money and I won't see it for two to three days.
"Absolute disgrace of a company. And the best you can do is apologise."

Another person said: "Any update on the refund after being charged five times?"
A third added: "Is anyone going to fix the issues regarding the payment issues?!
"Four times the monthly amount!! £125 you've taken at quarter to the hour every hour since 7.45."
A BT spokesperson said: "We're aware that some customers have experienced problems with BT Sport Monthly pass payments this morning.

"We have resolved the technical issue and have cancelled all incorrect payment requests.
"We are contacting all customers who have been affected and we’re very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused."
Some customers have had their cancellations processed already and have their full balance again.
However, some people are saying they've already had money taken out of their accounts.
In this case, processed refunds should take around two to three days to clear if you pay by direct debit and up to 30 days if you pay with a credit card.
It's not the first time consumers have been overcharged for services.
In May, NatWest customers were left furious after being charged twice in a banking glitch.
In January last year, Morrisons customers were double-charged for their shopping despite payments being declined due to a card error.
