Flat in London with its own private garden hits the market for just £1,150 a month – but it comes with a catch
A STUDIO flat in London with its own private garden has gone on the market for £1,150 a month – but it comes with a slight catch.
The well-priced property is based in Criterion Mews in Archway, north London and is advertised on OpenRent.
And potential renters would be forgiven for thinking that the reasonable asking price is almost too good to be true.
Although prospective owners can enjoy a rare outdoor space to relax in, the flat comes without a rather staple item – a bed.
The listing describes the property as furnished – in lieu of a bed there is a sofa for sleeping.
However, it is unclear if this pulls out into a bed.
It comes with a neat little kitchen, a small dining table for two, and a little bathroom tucked away with toilet, basin and shower.
Outside is a shared patio garden, with plenty of room to add furniture.
The studio cost includes water rates and internet and is student friendly.
A washer/dryer and television are also part of the package, though the listing fails to explain why a bed has not been included.
The property needs a deposit of £1,326.92, and is available from September 30 for a minimum tenancy of 12 months.
The listing reads: “We are pleased to offer this studio flat situated on a quiet road just 5 mins walk from Archway Tube Station, Northern Line (Zone 2) or Upper Holloway Overground Station and all the shops, restaurants, bars from Archway and Holloway Road.
“Camden, Highbury and Islington, Angel, Highgate, Tufnell Park and Kentish Town are all within easy reach and well connected via buses 4, 17, 91 & 41 as well as by tube.”
