HOUSEHOLDS looking to stock up on groceries will be keen to know what time Co-op is open over the bank holiday.
Retailers often close or change their opening hours on public holidays to give staff time off, or due to trading laws.

This year, the summer bank holiday falls on Monday, August 26, in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Is Co-op open over the bank holiday?
Co-op says stores may open later and close earlier than normal over the bank holiday.
Branches should be operating normal trading hours on Saturday and Sunday though.

Co-op stores typically welcome shoppers from either 6am or 7am until 10 or 11pm on most weekdays.
Some even at midnight, so it's important to check ahead.

Several other supermarkets have confirmed their opening hours for the bank holiday.

Aldi has said it is operating standard opening hours across its branches on Saturday and Sunday.
Then stores in England and Wales are open until 8pm on August 26.
Scottish branches close at 10pm as normal as it is not a bank holiday north of the border.
Meanwhile, Morrisons has revealed special opening hours for August 26.
Stores generally open between 7am and 8am and close at the earlier time of 8pm.
Customers should check the opening hours of their nearest branch using the store finder tool on the retailer's website.
On the bank holiday Monday, many Asda stores will operate at reduced hours and close at 10pm rather than the usual midnight.
Meanwhile, Express stores open as usual, which is typically between 6am until 12am.
Large Tesco stores are shutting up shop early on the Bank Holiday too.
Many are closing their doors at 6pm so remember to grab essentials early and check the store locator before heading down.
On the bank holiday Monday, Lidl stores in England and Wales and outside the M25 are open from 8am to 8pm.
Inside the M25, branches are open between 8am and 10pm.
