Co-op New Year’s Day 2024 opening times: What time are stores open?
Co-op's bank and funeral services will also be affected by the adjusted hours
THE Co-op has been open for business and serving customers for decades.
However, the chain of stores does occasionally close on days including Christmas Day. But will the stores be closing their doors over the New Year period?

Co-op's New Year hours
Most of Co-op's shops opened as normal on Christmas Eve before closing up shop on Christmas Day.
They then re-opened on Boxing Day under albeit with reduced hours.
The Co-op will not close over the New Year period, including on January 1, 2025.
Usually, the Co-op remains open for bank holidays but makes an exception for Christmas Day.

Co-op's bank and funeral home
The Co-op also operates several other services including a bank and a funeral service.
Both services closed on the bank holiday dates of December 25 and 26.
However, on bank holidays, the Co-op Funeralcare homes offer a 24 hour central care team that can be contacted by phone or their website.
In 2022, the brand sold their lucrative chain of petrol stations to Asda for an eye-watering £600 million.

Asda has confirmed that most of these stations will be open on New Year's Day, although many of the filling stations have a pay-at-the-pump service.
