THOUSANDS of households have just days left to claim a £150 council tax rebate - here's how to secure the cash.
Households living in council tax bands A-D are due a council tax rebate worth £150.
Thousands of households are still yet to claim the money and three local authorities in England have set deadlines to apply.
Eligible residents in will have to apply for the rebate on council tax by July 31 or risk losing out on the chance to access the grant in cash.
Birmingham City Council said: "Eligible households will have until July 31, 2022 to submit payment details. If we don’t hear from you by this date we will arrange for the rebate to be credited to your council tax bill."
Those living in will also need to apply for the £150 payment to receive the cash in their bank by the end of the month.

Residents in area also face the July 31 deadline to apply for the cash.
Household affected by the deadlines are those which don't pay their council tax by direct debit.
Applications allow your local authority to transfer the cash directly into your bank account.
If you don't apply in time and miss the July 31 deadlines you shouldn't miss out - instead you'll be given a £150 credit on your council tax account.

The former Chancellor Rishi Sunak introduced a cost of living support package which included a £150 council tax rebate for households in England, Scotland and Wales living in council tax bands A-D.
That amounts to around 80% of households in England, the government said.

When will I get the £150?
The vast majority of those that are eligible for the payment and who paid their on April 1 should have received the payment by now.
However, those who don't pay their council tax by direct debit have to apply to get the cash.

Each council will have different systems, dates can vary, and the scheme is new.
