Tesco Clubcard warning as £17million of vouchers expire TODAY – how to extend them now
TESCO shoppers should check their Clubcard accounts today as £17million of vouchers are set to expire.
If you've got any vouchers left over, it's not too late to claim them or prolong their expiry date - we explain how.
Today is the last day for £17million worth of vouchers to be redeemed or extended - or otherwise be scrapped altogether.
Tesco vouchers are given to customers who have earned points throughout the year using their Clubcard.
But the vouchers don't stick around forever - they have an expiry date of two years from the moment they are issued.
One point is given for every £1 you spend in-store or online, or one point for every £2 you spend on fuel.

Once you rack up 150 points, you'll receive a £1.50 voucher, and vouchers can be redeemed towards other food shops or with Tesco partners, like Pizza Express.
How do I use my Clubcard vouchers?
When using your Clubcard in-store or online, points are automatically assigned to your account.
You'll receive a statement from Tesco in February, May, August, and November which tells you how many points you have earned, and will give you a booklet of your vouchers if you have any which can be used in-store or online.

You can also check your Clubcard activity by logging into your account online through .
Or you can download the Tesco Clubcard app and keep track of your points instantly without needing a statement.
The app is free to download from the App or Google Play store, and it allows you to turn your points into vouchers with the click of a button.
Note that turning your points into vouchers can take 24 hours - but as long as you request the vouchers by 11:59pm tonight, you'll have bagged your rewards.
How can I extend my Clubcard vouchers?
Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert (MSE) announced that Tesco customers can extend the use of vouchers they have earned through the Clubcard loyalty scheme.
By simply making a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards website , you'll get the remaining points credited back to your account.
For example, if you buy a 50p voucher with one of Tesco's partners, like Pizza Express, you'll get a £1.50 voucher to spend in the restaurant and the rest of your points will return to your Clubcard for another two years.
So if you had £10 worth of points and you buy a 50p restaurant voucher, the remaining £9.50 will go back to your account instead of expiring.
