Five cash boosts to help YOU as Rishi Sunak reveals plan to help tackle soaring energy bills
RISHI Sunak today unveiled a bumper package to help hard-up Brits with the soaring cost of living.
Here we take a look at five cash boosts that will help Brits to tackle their rising energy bills.

UNIVERSAL CREDIT AND BENEFITS
Millions of people on Universal Credit and benefits will get a one-off £650 payment to help with soaring bills.
More than eight million households will receive the lump-sum.
The payments will go to everyone on means-tested benefits, including universal credit, pensions credit, jobseekers’ allowance and income support.
PENSIONERS
Pensioners on state pensions are set to get extra cash to help in the cost of living crisis.
Chancellor Rishi Sunak today announced they will get a one-off payment of £300.
The £300 "cost of living payment" will be paid in November or December.
That's on top of the existing Winter Fuel Payment worth between £100 and £300 that those over state pension age get already.

EVERYONE
Sunak has announced that EVERY household in the UK will get a £400 energy bill discount.
The energy discount will be dished out to households in October.
It will replace current plans for a £200 energy rebate, which households were told they would have to pay back over five years.
Now every household will get £400 - and the requirement to pay it back has been scrapped.
Mr Sunak will instead convert the effective loans - which would have been paid back in heftier bills later - into grants dished out by energy companies.
Rishi Sunak's announcement today included:
- Confirmation of a temporary windfall tax on oil and gas giants.
- The £200 loan for energy bills made a grant that no longer needs to be paid back and increased to £400.
- A one-off disability cost of living payment of £150 will be handed out.
- A £650 one-off payment for Universal Credit and benefits recipients.
- A £300 one-off payment to low-income pensioners.
- An energy discount worth £400 to every household.
- An extra £500million for the Household Support Fund.
DISABILITY
Mr Sunak revealed that Brits with disabilities will receive a once off payment of £150.
The money will be given out the money to help combat rising energy costs in September.
For the many disability benefit recipients who receive means tested benefits, this £150 will come on top of the £650 they will receive separately.
STRUGGLING HOUSEHOLDS
Millions more in vouchers and cash is set to be handed out for struggling households later this year.
That's because Chancellor Rishi Sunak has extended the Household Support Fund AGAIN - pumping another £500 million into the pot.

Mr Sunack said: "There may be some people who fall between the cracks.
"So to support them, we will extend the Household Support Fund from September, by half a million."
