Set on more than three acres in Lakeport, California, the unique property will offer its new owner a splash of luxury living, with a huge outdoor pool and even a stage for a private band.

Bridges link different parts of the house and daredevil guests can rope swing between rooms, while a surfboard and kayak adorn the walls.

To add to its catalogue of distinctive features, the entire house is also decked out with giant sawmill timber.

The Zillow listing boasts there are 1,272 lineal feet of timber in the "amazing" three-bedroom home - creating an "unmatched atmosphere".

Built in 1997, the converted barn also has "stamped concrete flooring" with radiant heat to keep guests "toasty warm in the winter".

But another home holding a nautical secret has been branded a "wreck" by house hunters.

Pictures of the three-bedroom property in Kansas City, Missouri, prompted a mixed reaction from viewers on Reddit.

It comes after a two-bedroom apartment hit the market for £550,000 and while it looked normal from the outside, it hid a stunning secret.

From the roadside, there is nothing that makes it stand out from the other terraced homes on the street.

But inside, all the rooms are covered in botanical wallpaper and furnishings.

The lounge has green, fern leaves on the walls and also on the sofa and armchair, plus flowers on the wall and lampshade.
