I won £2.4m after suing Betfred over a bet – I know what I’ll spend the cash on first
A GAMBLER who won £2.4million after suing a bookies for refusing to pay his jackpot is set to buy his dream man cave.
Andy Green, 55, will build the £25,000 shed at the bottom of his garden with a six-metre covered section for a BBQ and chairs.
The dad-of-two, from Washingborough, Lincolnshire, has permission for it and is now looking for a builder.
He said: “I just want to go in there and watch my F1 and my GP motorbike racing without my daughters moaning that I’m hogging the TV.”
Andy was given his huge payout last year after a three-year High Court battle with Betfred.
The betting firm had refused to pay him £1,722,923.54 which he won in an online blackjack game in January 2018. It said a software glitch invalidated his win.

But a judge ruled for Andy, and he landed an extra £600,000 through interest.
So far he has only bought new windows for his home and a second-hand BMW X6 with 18,000 miles on the clock.
He is also planning a trip to Lesbos, Greece, to see friends for the first time in more than a decade, the reported.
And he is considering shooting a short film or documentary about his experiences with the gambling giant.

He said: “People have said to me, ‘You’ve made companies like Betfred think twice about taking advantage again’.
“I’ve been contacted about a short film or a series. I was told I’d get royalties but I just want the story out there.”
Last year he told The Sun how he would buy a shed and insisted the winnings would not change him, adding: "I wouldn’t be Andy Green any more. I’m famed for wearing a coat or blanket if I’m watching TV and it’s cold.
“And I’m obsessed with the reduced aisle in Aldi. I’m always there.”

Andy told us at the time that Betfred gave him £2,500 as a goodwill payment and offered him £60,000 to keep quiet.
