THOUSANDS of households in the Midlands will get the £150 council tax rebate today.
The payments are to help families cope with the rising cost of living.
Families living in properties in council tax bands A-D are entitled to a one-off cash payment.
The payment dates will vary depending on which local authority area you live in - with some warning it could be as late as September.
But around 23,000 residents in Nuneaton and Bedworth have received the cash, according to the .
Those households paid their council tax bill by direct debit on April 1, the council said.

People who paid later will have to wait a bit longer to receive their rebate.
Approximately 87,000 households pay by direct debit in Coventry, the council said last week when it announced it was gearing up to distribute the refunds.
This leaves 53,000 households who will need to make an application for the energy rebate from next month.
Around 30,000 Hull residents started to receive payments yesterday as the council began processing refunds.
