Tesco shoppers slam ‘disgusting’ and ‘gone off’ chocolate eggs on Easter Sunday
TESCO shoppers have complained about opening 'disgusting' and 'gone off' Easter eggs today.
Customers found some of the chocolate was past its best when they went to tuck into their Easter Sunday treats this morning.
One consumer posted a photo of a Bounty Easter egg today, saying it was "discoloured and disgusting".
Another wrote: "Thanks Tesco for the out of date chocolate Easter egg hunt box!
"Every one of these disgusting eggs was this bad."
They shared a photo of the offending item alongside their post on Twitter, which showed the chocolate was discoloured.

A third shopper said their Thorntons Easter egg, bought from Tesco, was a "funny colour".
Tesco said it will refund customers who have received dud Easter eggs this year.
"We take great care to ensure our Easter eggs are sold in the best possible condition," a spokesperson for the grocer said.
"On the rare occasion a customer is unhappy with the quality of their egg, we're happy to arrange a replacement or refund if the customer returns the item to store."

A Thorntons spokesperson told The Sun that its customer services team would be in touch with the affected shopper.
“At Thorntons, we pride ourselves on the quality and freshness of all our products," they said.
The Sun has contacted Mars, which owns Bounty, for comment.
Chocolate fans were left disappointed yesterday, too, after buying broken and melted Easter eggs from Tesco and Sainsbury's.
Customers took to social media to share photos of their disappointing Easter treats.
One frustrated shopper said: "Ever so disappointed to find my Easter egg bought from my local Tesco Express store in this state when I opened it!"
She posted a picture of her chocolate egg, which had melted in on itself.
One Sainsbury's customer posted a picture to Twitter of the packaging bashed in and sellotaped over.
He said: "When you order an Easter Egg from Sainsbury's and it's battered and taped up."
While another shopper tweeted at the supermarket: "How do I contact you to arrange refund for a mouldy melon and squashed Easter egg delivered?"
