Studio apartment in the heart of London is just £1,100 a month – but getting into bed might be difficult

A STUDIO apartment in the heart of London is £1,100 a month - but getting into bed might be a struggle.

The mattress on the flat's elevated bed would leave its sleeping resident just INCHES from the ceiling.

The property is just a stone's throw away from Earls Court station in posh Kensington and comes fully furnished.

But the studio is so small, the bed has had to be elevated above the ground on its own mezzanine level.

However, sleeping would be nearly impossible.

The gap between the bed and the ceiling is so narrow, renters would hardly be able to fit a pillow on it.

"The flat comprises of downstairs living room, kitchenette and shower room.  Upstairs gallery half size for bed area/ sleeping area."

If property hunters are looking for a house for sale instead, this flat in one of London's most exclusive postcodes is going for an incredibly low price at auction.

The tiny Knightsbridge pad is a stone's throw from the iconic Harrod's department store and has an auction guide price of just £175,000.

But the very reasonable price for the central location appears to be justified by its tiny size - and seemingly no toilet inside the property.

The single room flat on Brompton Road has just 8.1 square metres in size, according to the floor plan.
