You’ll soon be able to buy and bake your own Greggs cookies at home

BUDGET friendly supermarket Iceland is set to stock two new Greggs items on its shelves.

In less than two weeks, shoppers will be able to pick up frozen Greggs cookies in two flavours to be baked and tucked into at home.

Bakery fans will be happy to hear that they can stock up on tasty treats not just in Greggs stores but in too.

The low cost supermarket has been selling Greggs' infamous sausage rolls for over a decade.

Since 2011, Iceland has added more Greggs products to its shelves, meaning there's currently 15 to choose from including steak bakes and sausage and bean melts.

But Iceland sells these products in the freezer aisle, meaning customers have to bake them at home.

And soon the range is set to expand again.

Iceland Dumfries has teased the new cookie collaboration on its Facebook page, saying it will happen very shortly.

Customers with a sweet tooth will be able to pick up a pack of either six frozen triple chocolate or milk chocolate cookies.

Greggs told The Sun that these products will be available from around April 11 across 800 stores.

What's more, the cookies will also be stocked in The Food Warehouse, which is part of the Iceland Foods Group.

Each box will cost £3, making a single cookie worth 50p.

Greggs menu prices can vary depending whether you're eating in or taking it away.

If taken away, a single cookie costs around £1.15 in store, meaning you could save 65p a cookie by buying from Iceland or The Food Warehouse instead.

Customers who decide to buy in Greggs' stores have an additional white chocolate cookie option that won't be featuring in Iceland's stores.

But in most cases, it's more cost efficient to buy Greggs items from the supermarket.

For example, one chicken bake in store could set you back £2, but you can buy a pack of two for £2.35 in Iceland.

Plus, Iceland currently has a two for £4 offer on eight Greggs products, meaning you'll get even more money off.
