Tesco DOUBLES the price of sanitary product – new cheapest place to buy revealed
TESCO has doubled the price of its sanitary product since a year ago - meaning it's no longer the cheapest on the market.
Tesco's 10-pack Essentials maxi towels used to be the cheapest sanitary pads at 23p, according to MoneySavingExpert.
However, a recent price check has shown that Tesco's product has doubled in price from 2p per pad to 4p per pad.
Despite the price increase, there are still ways you can keep costs down when buying sanitary pads and we reveal which supermarkets have the best offer.

Tesco said the price change took place in July 2021.
Following this, Asda now has the cheapest pads in stores with its regular ultra towels costing 3p a towel.
Alternatively, Asda's regular non-applicator tampons are even cheaper 2p a tampon.
The next cheapest pads are Morrisons' 24-pack maxi towels, Asda's 20-pack regular applicator tampons and Tesco's 10-pack Essentials maxi towels, which all work out as 4p per pad.

If you are looking for other ways to save money on sanitary products, you could downshift from branded to own-brand products, which usually cost less.
It's also a good idea to use a sanitary product comparison site to see where's cheapest.
