Three-bedroom house goes on sale for £190,000 – but it’s hiding a disturbing secret
A THREE-bedroom house has gone on sale for £190,000 - but it’s hiding a disturbing secret.
One horrified house hunter thought he’d stumbled across a crime scene on Rightmove when he spotted police-style tape plastered all over the property.
The toilet, taps in the bathroom and kitchen, fridge, fireplaces and even the boiler are covered in blue and white hazard-style tape similar to that used by homicide cops.
One concerned viewer said: “I found this property on Rightmove.
“And it's covered in police crime scene tape. Did the seller/estate agent not think about removing it first?”
However, on closer inspection, the tape is emblazoned with ‘Do not use’, whereas the long arm of the law uses cordons splashed with ‘Police’ or ‘Police line do not cross’.
There is no suggestion the pad in Preston, Lancs, was actually a crime scene.

To the contrary, Taylors Estates claims the address is quite the steal as it has two bathrooms and boasts views of the River Ribble.
The estate agent adds: “With parking available at the front of the property on the road, the house offers a small front courtyard style garden which leads to the front door and into an entrance vestibule.
“Continuing into the property and into the main hall you are met with the main open staircase on the left hand side of the building and your first reception room on the right which boasts a great bay window to allow a flood of light.
“In the middle of the house sits the second reception room with a good sized kitchen dinner to the rear of the house and utility sitting at the back.
“The back garden again is a small but cosy sized courtyard.
“The first floor houses the three double bedrooms with the master at the front of the house which is accompanied by an ensuite with toilet and walk in shower.”
The house was added to Rightmove on Monday.
