The converted barn called Lloft Y Crog instead can only be used for holidays only.
The Snowdonia national park authority granted planning permission for it as a holiday let so would take enforcement action if it became a permanent residence.
But it is not clear how long the owners would have to stay there for the authority to decide it is no longer a holiday.

It is located in the village of Brithdir in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
The area is a hotspot for tourists and has seen a huge influx of second home owners over recent years.
Investors looking to snap up the property could make up to £240 a night letting it out to holidaymakers.
