A LUXURY bungalow on the edge of the Sandringham estate is up for sale – giving buyers a chance of becoming a near neighbour of the Queen.
The estate in Norfolk is where Her Majesty and the royal family for several weeks every years - including Christmas.
The monarch usually stays at her country estate until Feb 6, which is the anniversary of her father’s death.
Now Brits have the chance to be her neighbour - for £795,000.
The four bedroom detached property with stylish glazed walls and doors to its back garden is up for sale in Hillington, Norfolk.
The bungalow borders the 20,000 acre Royal estate and is close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s country home Anmer Hall.
It also overlooks St Mary the Virgin church at Hillington where the Queen sometimes worships when she is in residence at her Norfolk retreat.
Estate agents Brown & Co describe the property which is thought to have been built in the late 1960s as “substantial” and “in superb order”.

A major selling point is that the bungalow has planning permission to build a three bedroom detached house and garage at the end of its garden.
The agents’ details say the bungalow is “flooded with natural light from the clever architectural design and large windows”.
The property is currently the home of a couple who have lived there for 25 years, and have re-roofed it and carried out extensive renovations in recent years.
The details describe the kitchen as “outstanding” and “beautifully designed and fitted” with quartz worktops and floor to ceiling glazed windows and sliding doors.
The sitting room is also said to be “a stunning formal space which needs to be viewed to fully appreciate”.
The bungalow also has a reception hallway open plan to the dining area which in turn is partially open plan to the kitchen breakfast room.
There is also a family snug which could be converted to a fifth bedroom, a family bathroom, a WC and laundry room, and integral access to a double garage.
The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and sitting room of its own that the current vendors use as a studio/study.
Outside, the bungalow is set well back from the road behind a wall and has remotely operated security gates.
The garden on its 0.75 acre plot includes mature plants and trees, and an area of “wood sleeper effect composite decking which enjoys long hours of sunshine” and another patio.
The bungalow which has oil fired central heating is within walking distance of a shop, petrol station, garage and the The Fflokes pub and hotel.
Lee Shauardson, a divisional partner at Brown & Co, said: “There is a lot of interest in the property because it appeals to quite a mixed bag of buyers.
“There is some interest because of the building plot – but a lot of people just see it as a fantastic house in Norfolk, and in close proximity to the coast.
Mr Shauardson said the bungalow’s position on the edge of the Sandringham estate made it “even more attractive”.
