    Richard Osman's debut novel, The Thursday Murder Club, is about four pensioners in Kent who band together to investigate unsolved murders. On its release in September 2020, Richard Osman became the first debut author to score a Christmas number one, beating Barack Obama and David Walliams.

    Its hotly-anticipated sequel, The Man Who Died Twice, was released in September 2021. It follows the four ageing sleuths as they tackle another fascinating mystery involving diamonds and gangsters.
