They go on pre-sale from Monday September 27, with prices starting just shy of £20.

Aldi says you can save over two thirds with its cheapest hamper compared to Fortnum & Mason’s too, which is priced at £75.

The retailer says shoppers can save £55 opting for the it elegant dupe over the premium hamper.

But with Christmas officially 100 days away, Aldi has announced the return of the cheap gifts today.

It comes as more than 25% of Brits have already started their Christmas shopping over shortage fears.

The early declaration makes Aldi the first supermarket this year to announce a Christmas hampers too.

Although, it's not the first to launch its festive range, as M&S has wowed shoppers already with upcoming goodies.

Plus many retailers have revealed when their major toy sales are launching in preparation for the present buying season.

There are nine hampers in the Aldi's new range, which is two more than last year's offerings.

The two brand-new premium additions are the Sommelier’s Six Wine Hamper and the Ultimate Decadence Hamper, but they'll set shoppers back a whopping £100 and £150 respectively.

It also means Aldi is offering a hamper for shoppers to buy that's £50 more expensive than the dearest option it had in its range last year.

Shoppers on a budget though don't have to worry, as the hamper range includes returning favourites as well, like the simple Christmas favourites hamper, priced at just £19.99.

The full range includes:

  • Christmas Favourites Hamper - £19.99
  • The Chocolate Celebration Hamper - £29.99
  • The Vegan Hamper - £29.99
  • The Afternoon Treats Selection Hamper - £39.99
  • The Luxury Collection Hamper - £59.99
  • The Christmas Feast Hamper - £79.99
  • Ultimate Celebration Hamper - £99.99
  • The Sommelier’s Six Wine Hamper - £99.99
  • The Ultimate Decadence Hamper - £149.99

Each of the hampers will be packed with cakes, chocolates, wine and savouries to suit the theme of its name.

For example, the cheapest hamper features a strawberry conserve, florentines, a chocolate and salted caramel bombe, Moser Roth milk chocolate mountain bar and a bottle of Argentinian Malbec.

Meanwhile the Vegan hamper includes a selection of plant-based festive staples, like the Free From christmas pudding, vegan cookies, Moser Roth vegan salted caramel truffles, alongside a bottle of vegan wine.

It's also £10 cheaper than M&S’s £40 , which features similar goodies.

But Aldi's most expensive and extravagant new £149.99 hamper will be packed to the brim with 35 items including a selection of chocolates, cakes, sauces and savoury surprises plus a 30 month matured Christmas pudding.

The hampers will be available to pre-order online only from September 27.

The Aldi hampers have proved extremely popular in previous years because they offer such good value compared to many competitors.

But it's worth doing the maths before you order yours this year.
