Primark changing rooms open again at all UK stores after lockdown restrictions lift

PRIMARK has reopened its changing rooms across all its stores in the UK as Coroanvirus lockdown restrictions lift.

Shoppers were allowed back in stores again in April - but could not try on clothes and outfits as fitting rooms stayed closed for Covid safety.

Primark confirmed to The Sun that fitting rooms have now reopened in all of its 191 stores this week.

A trial saw the facilities reopen in a handful of stores from the start of July to test out safety measures.

Changing rooms will continue to have enhanced cleaning programme and additional safety measures in place, the shop said.

Fitting rooms are are now open in Primark stores in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Non-essential retail opened its doors again to shoppers in England and Wales from April 12 as lockdown restrictions lifted - but many left fitting rooms closed, including Primark.

The high street fave did extend opening hours at nearly all of its locations though and The Sun got a sneak peek at the Oxford Street store's range of new clothes in stock.

Plus, we got a first-look at its first-ever maternity range and prices start from £4.

Desperate shoppers even resorted to trying on clothes on the shopfloor in front of other customers as they remained out of action.

Freedom Day on Monday (July 19) signalled the end of lockdown restrictions like social distancing and mask wearing.

But Primark and other shops is encouraging shoppers to continue wearing masks to keep staff and other customers safe.

Wilko is also among the retailers urging shoppers to keep wearing masks after "Freedom Day".

Shoppers have spotted kids clothes reduced in Primark and some items cost as little as £1.

Primark is launching a new website where customers can check if items are in stores.
