When is the Next sale and how to book an early VIP spot?
NEXT shoppers can bag a bargain by booking a VIP spot to get early access to the fashion retailer's latest sale.
Next holds four sales each year, with prices reduced by 50%, and is offering certain customers the chance to view the deals before anyone else.
The retailer has slashed the price of its womenswear, menswear and kids' clothing ranges for VIP customers this week.
Hundreds of homeware items have also been discounted in the early access sale.
The sales typically offer savings of at least 50%, but some discounts have been as high as 70%.
Shoppers who signed up to get the early access started receiving emails to book a slot from Monday and the VIP offer looks set to end tomorrow morning.
How to make the most of the Next sale
THESE tips from a Next employee can help you make sure you bag the best bargains when the sale launches.
- Familiarise yourself with the stock - check in store and online to see what items you might fancy, that means you'll be able to act fast once prices start dropping.
- Check online - often the sale launches online before stores open so go digital to get the best bargains.
- Consider the VIP scheme - if you have a credit account you can get access to the sale before the general public.
- Choose the right store - smaller outlets are likely to be less rammed, so you may have less competition for deals.
- Shop late in the day - around two hours before closing, staff start replenishing stock for the next day, so this is a great time to hit the stores.
- Look at ticket codes - if you're in a Next keep an eye out for black dots on tickets; chances are that means an item is going to be discounted, so you're better off waiting till the price drops.
- Homeware and women's clothing sells fastest - so you might want to get to stores first thing for these items.
Here's everything you need to know about the discount event, including booking a VIP slot and how to shop the sale if you miss out on early access.
When is the sale?
Next hasn't confirmed when its summer sale will be open to all shoppers, but there are clues that suggest it could start tomorrow.
VIP slots have been available in-store and online this week, with early access to the sale ending in the early hours of Saturday morning.
This hints at the fact that it could open for the general public from tomorrow.
The retailer has also been recruiting casual staff to help out during the sale, and the job advert said workers will be needed on July 9 and 10, according to MoneySavingExpert.
The sale also took place in the same week last year, which is the final clue that the discount bonanza will begin tomorrow.

They are also restricted to one slot per customer, but you can bring a friend along if you go to a Next store.
Next said it will limit the number of items shoppers can add to their online basket during particularly busy periods.
And the in-store slots are capped at 45 minutes.
If you book a VIP slot and don't use it, it could affect your eligibility for priority invitations in the future.
Next day delivery is not available for VIP sale orders, and delivery of in-stock items can take up to 42 days.
Next hasn't confirmed whether there are any slots left, or which stores are offering early access today.
