John Lewis explains rules for shoppers when it reopens on April 12 – and customers CAN use fitting rooms

SHOPPERS will be able to head to John Lewis stores once again from April 12.
The department store has confirmed opening plans for when the next stage of lockdown restrictions are lifted.
Non-essential retail has been closed since January in England because of coronavirus.
These shops will be allowed to open their doors again from next Monday (April 12), along with hairdressers and pubs and restaurants.
John Lewis has said its stores in England Wales will reopen - and that includes changing rooms.
Shoppers will be able to use fitting rooms for the first time in nearly a year when shops open again.
Changing rooms stayed closed at most stores when the first lockdown rules were lifted last summer and shops opened again, as part of safety rules to keep the spread of the bug.
This time shoppers will be able to try on clothes and also starting up again is children's shoes fittings, in-person nursery appointments, home design advice, personal styling appointments and technology support.
will also restart next day click and collect, so shoppers can buy online one day and pick up in store the next.
The retailer suspended click and collect altogether in January to encourage shoppers to stay at home and brought it back at the end of March.
John Lewis will also reopen its Edinburgh which has just been refurbished on May 14 and its Glasgow shop from April 26 subject to guidance.
There will be new rules in place when shoppers return to John Lewis, including hosts on doors and screens at tills.
The customer service hosts will be on hand to help customers and manage how many people are in stores.
Shoppers will have to wear a face covering, unless exempt, and social distancing measures will be in place.
Further rules to keep people safe include:
- Rigorous cleaning in stores and hand sanitiser at shop entrances
- Fewer entrances and limits on the number of customers in store
- Social distancing and signs asking people to stand two metres apart
- Protective screens at checkouts and customer service areas
- A contactless payment limit of £45
- Returned stock will be separated for 48 hours

John Lewis will not be reopening all its stores once lockdown lifts.
The department store last year said that eight stores would close and a further eight would be shuttered, it said last month.
