Tesco Easter 2022 opening times: When are stores open over the bank holiday weekend?

EASTER is nearly here, so you'll want to know when Tesco will be open to get your supplies in over the holiday.

Shops and supermarkets often reduce opening hours over the bank holiday weekend, so it's important to plan ahead.

Here's everything you need to know about when Tesco will be open over the bank holiday weekend:

Is Tesco open over Easter?

Tesco shoppers will need to check opening times ahead of when they're planning to pop to the shop, as usual opening times will vary.

In general, opening hours at Tesco will depend on the you're visiting.

On Good Friday, April 15, normal trading hours will take place for the most part - which is between 7am and 11pm on a normal weekday.

But stores that are usually open late may close a little earlier.

On Saturday, stores will run as normal too.

But on Easter Sunday, April 17, all large stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be closed.

Keep in mind that Express stores will also remain open over the Easter weekend, as will Scottish stores.

All Tesco petrol filling stations are open over the weekend too.

Is Tesco doing home delivery?

is operating as normal over the Easter break, but you might struggle to get a slot as demand around the holidays can be high.

Tesco delivery saver customers were able to book slots from March 15.

To be a delivery saver customer, you have to pay £7.99 a month - in return, shoppers get free deliveries when they spend more than £40.

For regular customers, delivery slots for Easter went live on March 22.

Regular home delivery costs range from £2 to £7, and click and collect slots cost up to £2.

The final date for delivery before Easter Sunday is Saturday April 16 - but this will depend on availability, so you should book sooner to avoid disappointment.

When are the Easter holidays this year?

In 2022, Easter Sunday lands on April 17.

Easter Monday takes place the following day on April 18. 

The bank holiday weekend begins on Good Friday, April 15, meaning a four day break with which to enjoy the - touch wood - warm weather.
