Italian food fans will be able to visit 45 out of ASK Italian's 65 UK branches - but you can't sit inside to eat your meal.

It comes as Boris Johnson this week revealed that restaurants can serve customers outside from mid-April under the roadmap out of lockdown.

Customers will then be able to sit inside to eat and drink from May 17.

ASK Italian is yet to specify what will be on the menu, but a spokesperson said fans can expect plenty of familiar favourites.

The chain said it's had "early signs" of customers wanting to book, so it could be worth acting quick once it starts to accept bookings.

Like before, pubs and restaurants will have to offer table service and face masks must be worn by staff and customers when not sat at a table.

You won’t be able to sit inside, but pubs will now be allowed to offer takeaway pints, something which was banned during lockdown.

The government has also scrapped the 10pm curfew and punters won't have to buy a "substantial meal" when they order an alcoholic drink.
