The two day sales event means Amazon’s members could be ‘checking out’ some huge discounts.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is a two-day sales extravaganza, which is being held today and tomorrow – July 12 and 13 – this year.

It was originally launched in 2015 to celebrate the online retailer’s 20th birthday but has since evolved into a cult sale event a bit like Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Prime members can snap up huge deals on Amazon’s own brand items or branded goods across a variety of departments, including tech, booze and clothing.

Some offers are available for the entire period of Amazon Prime Day, while “Lightning Deals” are only available for a limited time.

IT might be tempting to dive in and snap up LOADS of items, but here’s how you can guarantee you’re getting a good deal on Amazon.
