You'll need to make sure you redeem your freebie before 10pm though, due to a new curfew placed on pubs and restaurants.

To get your drink, visit this special page on the website and register your details.

Next, enter your postcode or location to find a participating pub near you.

Once you’ve found a boozer, don’t continue to the next step until you’re at that pub.

Then when you’ve arrived at your local, select your location on the website.

You’ll be asked to choose your drink - the website will instruct you to make sure you wait until a server is with you before clicking “continue” to make sure your beverage is still available.

Once your server gives you the go-ahead, click “redeem” and you’ll be served your free drink.

Ei Pubs, which used to be called Enterprise Inns, is part of Ei Group which was acquired by Stonegate Pubs in March 2020.

It owns around 3,200 pubs in the UK but the free drinks will only be available in 1,275 of its boozers - be sure to check if your local is taking part.

On the Great British Pubs website, it says you can claim one free drink each week, running Thursday to Wednesday, until October 29.

Ei Pubs says its system will register your email address, so it'll know when you've already claimed a free drink that week.

You won't be able to redeem another until the following week.

Throughout the month, each pub will give away 100 free drinks - although Ei Pubs says it may increase this amount depending on demand,

It does, however, mean that you may miss out on the freebie if your local has already reached this limit so it's best to go sooner rather than later.

Another thing to be aware of is that not all drinks will be available in each of the participating boozers - so be sure to check what you can claim.

You'll be presented with your choice of options on the Great British Pubs website after you've chosen your pub.

As always, drink responsibly and be .

The giveaway comes after Young's gave away free drinks at its pubs.
