11 bargains and discounts to get hundreds of pounds off in September
SEPTEMBER can be a pricey month for many of us, with kids back to school, workers returning to offices and things generally getting back to normal a bit more.
And that means spending is likely to be on the up.
Here, we’ve collected some of the best and biggest bargains and discounts we've spotted on the high street in September to help you keep those costs down.
It's worth pointing out that spending money you didn't intend to isn't a bargain, however big the discount.
Debenhams - up to 70% off
The department store still has a sale on many items, including women's, men's and kids clothes as well as homeware.
It claims discounts of off, but we managed to hunt down some even bigger reductions, such as Miss KG shoes reduced from £89 to £12 and kids waterproof jackets down from £70 to £21.
Matalan - up to 70% off
Matalan still has a sale on with up to 70% off across mens, womens and childrens clothes as well as homeware.
For example, there are with more than half off if that's your bag, reduced from £140 to £60, while t-shirts start at just £2.
Marks and Spencer - up to 70% off
The high street fave has just launched across men's, women's and children's clothing, and its home range too.
You'll find shorts, t-shirts and swimwear priced at just £5 and there's a leather jacket reduced from £250 to £119 - a saving of £131.
Asda - up to 70% off baby and toys
We couldn't believe our eyes when we spotted these - Fisher Price baby toys on sale at Asda and one with nearly 70% off.
The activity mat was reduced from £130 to £39.97 - a massive saving of £90.03.
This is part of which has reductions on almost anything baby related, from car seats and cots to baby monitors and bottles.
Asda also has offers on its clothes range George, such as £5 off padded women's coats and 2 for £15 on men's knitwear, as well as £ for £10 and 2 for £12 on cushions.

Tesco - half price on Oral B, Olay and more
Get down to the supermarket if you want to put a smile on your face, Oral-B electric toothbrushes are .

Sainsbury’s - up to 50% of baby
There’s a baby event at Sainsburys with offers on a range of products from formula to baby snacks and wipes.
For example Johnson’s baby talc is half price and some Pampers have £3.50 off.
There’s also a homeware and electrical sale too with up to 30% off things like saucepans, irons, bedding and bath towels.
For example a set of 3 Salter saucepans is £39 instead of £78 and there’s 25% off Pyrex dishes

Lidl - up to 20% of groceries and £5 off shop
At Lidl you can get £5 off a £25 shop by signing up to its new loyalty app.
And there are also four new discounts each week, updated every Thursday, which are useful for reducing that grocery bill even further.
This week, it’s 20% off Freeway fizzy drinks and 15% off cleaning products, Tower Gate biscuits and treats and Valley Spire cheese.
Aldi - Specialbuys
Aldi’s Specialbuys are products which are in stock only for limited periods and usually in high demand because they are so well priced, like inflatable hot tubs.
You don’t have to leave it to chance though. You can sign up to to get a heads up what’s coming or read for what’s coming up - it lands on a Monday.
Specialbuy items go on sale every Thursday and Sunday in store and online, but you can also pre-order on the website.
The current Specialbuys are kitchen items that include cast iron casserole dishes for £19.99 while upcoming items are focused on tidying and include storage boxes for £3.99.

Argos - half price toys
