Burger King reveals deals to replace Eat Out to Help Out including £1.99 Whopper Wednesday
BURGER King has revealed a host of money-saving offers to replace its Eat Out to Help Out discounts, including a £1.99 Whopper.
The offers will be available throughout September, and in some cases, for the rest of the year, through the Burger King app.
It's just one of the chains extending Eat Out to Help Out style offers into September.
The fast food chain signed up to the government scheme in August to offer a 50% discount on all menu items, up to £10 per person, on Mondays to Wednesdays.
But it introduced further discounts on top meaning diners were able to nab a Whopper on its own for £1 on certain dates instead of the usual £4.49.
As Eat Out To Help Out has come to an end, Burger King has announced a new Wednesday Whopper deal, which sees the flagship burger reduced to £1.99 every Wednesday each week during September.

- Halloumi Bacon King with free regular fries: £5.99 reduced from £7.58 – available Monday to Sunday
- Veggie Burger: £2.49 reduced from £4.79 – available Monday to Sunday
- Chicken Royale: £2.49 reduced from £4.79 – available Monday to Sunday
- Whopper Meal: £4.49 reduced from £6.79 – available Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday
- Chicken Royale Meal: £4.49 reduced from £6.79 – available Monday to Sunday
- Two Chicken Royale Meals: £8.49 reduced from £13.58 – available Monday to Sunday
- Whopper, Royale, Reg Fries and Drink: £6.75 reduced from £12.86 – available Monday to Sunday
- Two Whopper Meals: £8.49 reduced from £13.55 – available Monday to Sunday
- Six Chilli Cheese Bites: £1.49 reduced from £1.99 – available Monday to Sunday
- Nine Nuggets: £1.99 reduced from £3.29 – available Monday to Sunday
- Six Chicken Fries: £1.99 reduced from £3.29 – available Monday to Sunday
Deals available until the end of the year:
- Whopper Wednesday: £1.99 reduced from £4.49 – available every Wednesday throughout 2020
It's also launching a deal where you can get two Whopper meals, including fries and a drink, for £8.49 until the end of this year. A Whopper meal will usually set you back £6.49, so that's a £2 saving - or £1 per person.
Other deals are also set to run throughout September.
These include a Chicken Royal or a Veggie Burger for £2.49 seven days a week this month, down from £4.79.
This month you can also get a Chicken Royale meal for £4.49, down from £6.49, or two Chicken Royal meals for £8.49 down from £13.58 Monday to Friday.
Last month, with the government discount you could buy a Chicken Royal to takeaway for £1.99 using the app, or £1 to dine in.
