McDonald’s is bringing back its triple cheeseburger next week
MCDONALD'S fans will finally be able to nab triple cheeseburgers again from next week.
The treat will officially join McDonald's permanent menu nationwide from September 2, following a trial earlier this year in 60 restaurants.
Priced from just £2.19, the cheeseburger comes with three beef patties with onions, pickles, mustard and cheese, served in a toasted bun.
In comparison, a single cheeseburger typically costs 99p while a sandwich with two patties sets you back £1.59.
Prices vary between branches though, so make sure you double-check this in advance.
The triple burger was previously on the menu back in 1994 when it was known as the Hat Trick during the World Cup, according to .
When the burger was trialled in February, fans declared their love for it on social media with one user simply saying: "Best burger ever."
While another said on Twitter: "I’ve just had a triple cheeseburger at @McDonaldsUK, it was amazing!!!"
And a third added: "Think it’s about time @McDonaldsUK released the triple cheeseburger nationwide to boost morale #covid19UK."
The burger is already on the menu in the US and Australia where it has 520 calories.
An adult man should eat around 2,500 calories a day while it's 2,000 for a women, according to NHS guidelines.
Last year, Australian radio presenter Bruno Bouchet rated the triple cheeseburger alongside other items on the McDonald's menu in Australia.
McDonald's has been operating a reduced menu following the coronavirus crisis, but earlier this month brought back six menu items including the chicken legend and apple pies.
The fast food chain has also been reopening its restaurants in phases for either home delivery, takeaway or drive-thru orders.
It now has more than 1,260 sites open for business, although not all branches offer every method of ordering.
Customers are being advised to use the to check what their local is doing, as well as the latest opening times.
