How to get 25% off Uber Eat takeaways including McDonald’s and KFC this week using discount code
UBEREATS is giving its customers a quarter off their bills this week thanks to a one-off code.
The food delivery service is giving a 25 per cent discount to any takeaway ordered by 11.55pm on August 18.
It's unclear if the code is available to all users or whether selected accounts have been sent it, so make sure you check your emails to see if you have been sent the code by UberEats.
The code gives you up to £10 off and doesn't include delivery, which can be as much as £4.99, or service fees, which vary per restaurant and can equal up to 15% based on an order's subtotal.
But there isn't a minimum spend and you can choose whatever food you like on the app.
All you have to do is enter the code SUNNYMOOD (in capitals) to the promotions part of your app on Uber Eats.
The code, which was shared by bargain hunters on can be used on orders placed through the website and the app.
Once you've chosen your food, it should automatically add to your basket.
However, if it doesn't, scroll down to the "promotions" in the basket page and press "add promotion" and choose the 25 per cent off deal.
The code can be redeemed for a maximum of 10,000 users on a first come, first serve basis.
Under the deal, this means that you could get a KFC family bucket for £15 rather than £20, or a 14 piece party bucket for £24.74 (originally £32.99).
For McDonald's fans, if you bought a Big Mac meal and a six chicken McNugget meal for £5.09 each, it would cost you £7.63 instead of £10.10.
When The Sun tested the code on Monday afternoon, from an address in south east London, delivery for McDonald's was £3.99 extra with no service fee, while KFC's delivery fee was 79p and service was £3.30.
The Sun has contacted UberEats to verify the offer.
UberEats is still operating social distancing, so you can only choose to leave your food at the door when deciding how you want it to be delivered.
The government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme doesn't cover delivery or takeaway services, so you have to pay full price for your meals through UberEats as usual.
Several restaurants are taking place in the scheme though, which runs until August 31.
