How to get a free hot drink at McDonald’s in July

MCDONALD’S is giving away free hot drinks to all new users of its app in July.
Maccies addicts can choose any regular-sized, hot option from the McCafé menu, including tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
The freebie is available now until July 31 - but it’s only valid for new users of the My McDonald’s app.
Sadly, existing customers aren’t eligible for the offer.
The restaurant chain is currently running a reduced menu, meaning it doesn’t have some of its usual posher drinks available.
The most you can save with the deal is £1.49 for a regular latte or cappuccino, although prices do vary by store.
McDonald's drinks included in the offer
THE drinks included in the McDonald's offer are:
- PG Tips tea - six calories
- Cappuccino - 94 calories
- Latte - 142 calories
- Flat White - 86 calories
- White or black coffee - 30 or six calories
- Single or Double espresso - one calorie
- Hot chocolate - 173 calories
You can also claim a free tea or hot chocolate, which both cost around 99p.
McDonald’s is giving away one hot drink per app user.
To claim yours, you’ll need to download the My McDonald’s app via or the .
Once you’ve downloaded it, sign up with your name and email address.
The free hot drink offer will be located in the “deals” tab on the app.
You’ll then need to click on the deal, select your drink and finally, the restaurant you want to collect from.
You don't need to order anything else on the menu to take advantage.

The freebie isn’t valid for Uber Eats and Just Eats home delivery.
The majority of McDonald’s restaurants will be taking part in the deal - we’ve listed the 28 places that aren’t participating in the box above.
McDonald’s has around 1,300 branches in the UK.
This week saw McDonald's reopen 700 restaurants for dine-in - see the full list of locations here.
Some of the 700 restaurants reopening will also take part in Rishi Sunak's Eat Out to Help Out scheme - meaning customers will get 50 per cent off their bill, up to £10 per person, Monday to Wednesday.
The restaurant chain has already welcomed back customers for takeaway, drive-thru and delivery in the majority of sites.
