Aldi’s £4.50 bargain school uniform bundle is coming back

PARENTS should be at the ready as Aldi's school uniform is back next month and you can snap up the lot for a bargain £4.50.

The range, which is designed for children aged three- to 11-years-old will be available in stores from August 13 and online from August 9.

Aldi will also be selling PE kits for youngsters

You'll be able to pick-up a round neck sweater for £1, a skirt or pair of trousers for £1.75, and a two-pack of plain polo shirts for £1.75.

So buy the sweater, polo shirts, and either the skirt or trousers, and it'll set you back just £4.50 - the same price as last year.

You'll also be able to pick-up boys and girls' school shoes, socks, and PE kits, as well as backpacks and stationary but Aldi said it was unable to reveal the prices of these items just yet.

But these items are all a Specialbuy, meaning once they're gone, they're gone; so don't hang around if you're hoping to snap up a bargain.

Aldi says this year's range is made from the "highest quality" cotton from Africa, as well as being crafted from recycled plastic bottles.

Of the major supermarkets, Aldi's is the best priced bundle of clothes we could find online with the next cheapest set costing you £5.25 more at Morrisons at £9.75, although here you get an extra jumper.

See the box above for a full comparison.

Aldi and Morrisons are also the only retailers not to charge more for larger sizes as your children grow-up, although admittedly Aldi's range only goes up to age 11 so you can't use it for secondary school kids.

Julie Ashfield, managing director for corporate buying at Aldi, said: “The beginning of the school year can be financially demanding at the best of times and this year is going to be tougher than usual for many.

"That’s why we’ve been busy exploring how we can help support families as the new school year draws closer, by offering parents the best quality products at the lowest possible price.”
