OUR summer may have gone off the boil but according to the forecasters the weather is due to warm up – and we're in for a hot weekend.
But cooling down in the heat need not mean splashing the cash.
Sales of paddling pools on Amazon have soared in the past few weeks amid hopes of scorching summer weather like we had early last month.
But don’t dip into your savings. These pools are sure to swim-press . . .
THE TINY SPLASH PAD. If you have little ones about, you can get a little three-ring pool from Aldi for £5.99. You can choose from either Mickey Mouse or Disney Princess. It’s great for kids from the age of two upwards.
It is also cheaper than the Intex three-ring pool sold at Sports Direct for £12.99.

THE FAMILY/PURSE-FRIENDLY POOL. Instead of paying £34.99 for the Bestway rectangular family pool at , get the similar Kid Connection pool from Asda for £25.
It’s a great size — and I can barely tell the difference between the two of them.
SAVE: £9.99
THE SPEEDY SET-UP. The Bestway 10ft Fast Set inflatable pool is quick and easy to set up. You can bag it at for £54.99.
Or to save cash and garden space you can get the slightly smaller 6ft version for only £24.99 at .
SAVE: £30
THE LITTLE EXTRAS. Pump up your inflatable pool for less with the Sothat electric air pump on Amazon for £8.72.
You can also get the Bestway chemical dispenser on Amazon. It is a great way to keep your pool free of bacteria and saves on having to empty and refill your pool. Amazon has it for £2.18, the cheapest I’ve seen.
If you need the chlorine tablets to put inside the dispenser, get a pack of ten at for £9.99.
