Where to buy cheapest school uniform for when they reopen on June 1
SCHOOLS in England are expected to start reopening from Monday June 1 leaving parents scrambling to sort out school uniform in time for the first bell.
Primary school pupils in nurseries, reception, Year 1 and Year 6 will be allowed back first.

Meanwhile, secondary schools will open their doors for Year 10 and Year 12 pupils who have exams next year.
It is likely that all school kids in England will be sent back to class for a month before the summer holidays start at the end of July.
So where can you look if you need new school uniform at this point in the year?
Here are some good high street options.
Asda
Asda’s George brand stocks a large number of school uniform items - meaning you can get everything you need at a reasonable price.
It has these - ideal for the warmer summer days.
However, click and collect was not available on all of the items we checked.
Home delivery costs £2.95 - but Asda warned it could take around two weeks for you to get your items.
So you might be best checking your local store.
H&M
With free deliveries and 100 days free returns at the moment, it might be worth checking out what H&M has to offer for your kids.
For example, this , or this which comes in four colours is £3.99.
The retailer has a limited selection of schoolwear - but it sells a lot of the basics.
Its shops are currently closed - so ordering for home delivery is your only option at the moment.
M&S
M&S has all you might need to send your kids back into the classroom.
This might save you some precious time in the mornings.
It comes in a pack of two for £12 to £16, depending on the size.
This for older girls is a good deal at £23 to £29, depending on the size.
M&S will deliver your order for free if it’s more than £50, otherwise it costs £3.50.
As stores aren’t open yet, there isn’t an option for click and collect, but it aims to deliver within five to seven days.
Matalan
Along with lots of other uniform essentials, Matalan stocks this for between £7.50 and £15, depending on the age of the child you are buying for.
It has fewer colour options than some of the other retailers, but a good selection of different fits of which are sure to satisfy even the fussiest of kids.
Standard delivery costs £3.95 for orders up to £50, and then it is free for orders worth more than that.
At the moment, Matalan says standard home delivery orders should arrive within ten days, and deliveries are made between Monday and Friday.
A select number of stores are open under government rules to allow homeware stores to trade.
But do check on whether your local one has reopened yet before you make the trip.
Next
At the slightly more expensive end of the scale, Next also has a good stock of uniform on its website.
This should see you through a week of thrills and spills, and is available for kids aged 3 to 16 years.
The smaller sizes are £19.50, while the largest sizes cost £28.
This is also a good buy, at between £7 and £12, again for ages 3 to 16.
Because Next stores are closed at the moment you will have to get items delivered to your home, which costs £3.99 - so you will need to factor that into your costs.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s has a good selection of schoolwear for all ages, including trousers, skirts, shirts and jumpers.
Helpfully, a lot of its ranges come in packs of two, which might help you out with the washing.
This , for example, comes in a variety of colours and costs £6.
Meanwhile, these are a steal, starting at £7 for two pairs.
It’s worth checking out your local store to see what’s in stock, alternatively click and collect is free for orders worth more than £20.
If you want the items delivered to your home, it costs £3.95 for delivery.
Tesco
Along with other supermarkets, Tesco has a decent range of school uniform.
But it doesn’t sell its range through its website, so you will be relying on your local store having what you need in stock.
Its are particularly good value for money: for example there’s two shirts from £3.50, two pairs of trousers from £7 or two polo shirts from £2.50.
